Samsung has officially unveiled its first Galaxy Book S laptop based on the Intel Lakefield hybrid processor with support for Intel Hybrid Technology, which provides minimal power consumption in the event of downtime and sufficient performance for comfortable work in a Windows 10 environment. This version of the Samsung Galaxy Book S laptop is equipped with a 13.3-inch display with Full HD resolution and a touch layer, which in Outdoor mode is capable of giving out brightness of 600 nits. The overall dimensions of the metal case are 305.2 × 203.2 × 6.2-11.8 mm, and the weight is only 950 grams, so the device can be easily transferred from one location to another. A small heat dissipation of the processor allowed us to implement a fanless design of the cooling system, so that the laptop turned out to be not only thin, but also silent. The laptop is equipped with 8 GB of RAM LPDDR4x and data storage of 256 or 512 GB in eUFS format, while additional space can be obtained using the slot for MicroSD memory cards up to 1 TB. The Wi-Fi 6 (Gig +) 802.11ax, LTE6 (Cat 16) and Bluetooth 5.0 modules are responsible for communicating with the outside world, the device also received two USB-C connectors and a combined audio connector. The battery capacity is 42 Wh. The owner of the Samsung Galaxy Book S laptop will also have at its disposal a fingerprint scanner, a light sensor to automatically turn on the keyboard backlight, as well as four speakers from AKG with Dolby Atmos support. The model will be available in Earthy Gold and Mercury Gray color options, the company will inform about the cost and terms of access for sale later.
