Huawei and Samsung are perhaps the only eminent manufacturers that still produce Android-based tablets. Just as Samsung is about to introduce a simplified version of the Galaxy Tab S6, Huawei plans to offer a simpler version of the MatePad Pro . An advertising poster with a tablet appeared on the Web , which received a simple name – Huawei MatePad, and this photo confirmed a number of already leaked characteristics.
The poster, taken obviously from one of the Chinese stores, suggests that the Huawei MatePad will receive at least two colors – white and dark blue. It is also worth noting that the frames around the display will be quite thin, although the screen did not receive perforation under the front camera, like its older brother MatePad Pro.
Huawei MatePad also has input support with a digital pen. According to the image above, the MatePad is equipped with a 2K display (previously it was reported that we are talking about a 10.4-inch screen 2000 × 1200), a Kirin 810 processor and some exclusive educational functions. In other words, the target audience for the new Huawei tablet is students.
In previous reports, it was reported that the tablet will be released in versions without the support of cellular networks and with a 4G modem; will receive options 3/32, 4/64 and 6/128 GB. It will also be equipped with a 7250 mAh battery and a USB-C port for charging. Other features included an 8-megapixel rear and front cameras, support for Bluetooth 5.1, and some lightweight shell EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10.
The launch, obviously, will take place soon, but sources do not yet name the date. By the way, suggest that Huawei is also preparing an early launch of the 8-inch MatePad T.
