CD Projekt Studio intends to release the long-awaited action movie Cyberpunk 2077 on time. This was officially stated by CEO of CD Projekt Adam Kichinsky in an address that is published on the site.
Creating great games is embedded in our corporate DNA. That’s why in January we decided to postpone the launch of Cyberpunk until September 17, 2020. The sheer complexity of Night City means it takes us a few extra months to hone every aspect of the game. I would like to take this opportunity and also thank you for your continued understanding, trust and support given to us. Kichinsky letter says
Due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus, many companies canceled the planned events, and the studios began to transfer projects because of the difficulty in working. For example, the transfer touched Wasteland 3, The Last of Us Part II and Marvel’s Iron Man for VR. But Adam Kichinsky is confident in his abilities and does not expect any date shifts despite the fact that all studio employees work from home.
The release of Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled for September 17, 2020 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
