Recently, the front cameras of smartphones, as a rule, are located in the cutouts of the display, which allows for almost full-screen design. The design of a retractable front camera was less common. And it is very rare that an exotic version of the rotary mechanism is found, when the same camera acts as the main and front camera and, if necessary, rotates relative to the upper edge of the smartphone. This design can be found in models ASUS Zenfone 6 and Samsung Galaxy A80 (here it is still supplemented with a slider). But soon the number of smartphones with such a mechanism may increase. It became known that Huawei filed a patent application, which describes a mobile device with a PTZ camera like the ASUS Zenfone 6 smartphone. The application was filed on January 9, 2019, and its publication by the World Intellectual Property Office took place on December 19. The camera module is able to rotate 180 degrees to act as the main or front camera, depending on current tasks. Despite the general similarity with the ASUS solution, the Huawei version still has a slight difference. It provides for the use of three camera modules, while the ASUS Zenfone 6 had only two cameras available. It is assumed that this design of the camera will debut in the smartphone Huawei P Smart Z 2020. The previous version, released this year, was equipped with a retractable front camera. Therefore, the introduction of a new camera mechanism will be logical precisely in the framework of this line.
