The experts of the German portal about the computer hardware PC Games Hardware carefully tested all the current AMD and Intel processors for desktop personal computers and compiled a rating, or rather, as many as three ratings of the best. In the ranking of the best “working” chips, that is, those that give the highest performance in conventional programs, AMD processors are leading. They took all three first places. The champion was the 32-core Ryzen Threadripper 3970X. Second place in the 24-core 3960X processor. Closes the top three 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X. Intel’s 18-core Core i9-10980XE and Core i9-9980XE chips took 4th and 5th places respectively. In the ranking of the best processors for games, everything is exactly the opposite – the first two places went to Intel chips: Core i9-9900KS and Core i9-9900K. But the 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X and the 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X settled in 3rd and 4th places. The multi-core Ryzen Threadripper even took only 5th and 6th places. Finally, experts also presented a rating of the best processors for combining performance both in regular programs and in games. Here again, AMD products broke out in the lead, taking four of the top five places. The Ryzen Threadripper 3970X and 3960X performed best of all. Fourth and fifth places – for the Ryzen 9 3950X and Ryzen 9 3900X. Bronze Ratings of the Intel Core i9-9900KS.
